USC's 18th commitment will come from a familiar place as the Trojans have dipped back into Georgia for their latest addition. Versatile two-way athlete James Johnson announced his pledge to USC this afternoon after narrowing his choices down to five programs earlier this week. Ultimately, USC beat out a final group that included Georgia, LSU, Ohio State and UCF. He held offers from programs across the country as nearly every major top program in college football became involved at one point.
He could play on either side of the ball — he's played multiple positions in high school — but he is most likely to end up playing defense at USC.
