You might have heard the rumors that redshirt freshman cornerback Lamont Simmons is looking to transfer. We've been inquiring about him and thus far nothing has been confirmed.
An assistant coach would only say, "I’m not sure what is going on with that kid right now. Will know more later this week."
If Simmons is indeed transferring, it wouldn't be surprising. The Florida product was unable to carve out a role this spring after redshirting last year. USC is also bringing in a highly touted group of defensive backs this fall.
