Austin Pope hails from Knoxville, Tenn., an area that's pretty familiar to Tee Martin. The 'SC assistant will be in Tennessee doing some spring eval period travel. He will stop at his son's school but he will also stop at the Christian Academy of Knoxville, where Pope attends school.
Pope is a 6-foot-4, 218-pound tight end who is pretty good friends with Martin's son and he said USC would absolutely have his attention. Nebraska recently offered and he's approaching double-digits on that offer list. However, Nebraska appears to have been the first Power Five offer.
To my knowledge those are the only two schools Martin will hit in the area while he's there. He may visit other schools in Tennessee, such as that of Maleik Gray, JaCoby Stevens, etc.
