Not sure if anyone else saw it but on the play that Claude Pelon made an insane effort play to free his other hand and knock the ball out of Rosen's hand for the scoop and score, he was targeting a wide receiver on the right side that had done a double move and was wide open. Rosen was loading up to throw to him 40 yards downfield and it would likely have been a long TD. Hawkins was too far away to slide over as safety.
The game was won or lost at that instant IMO. It was 21-20 Ucla in the 3rd quarter and the 14 point swing from the scoop and score was a momentum and score changed. If Ucla goes up 28-20 on that play the way they were performing, it most likely would have been their game to win. Instead, Claude Pelon came through with the play of his career and USC took the lead and all the momentum and left Rosen rattled resulting in two more picks.
To say that was a HUGE PLAY would be an understatement. Fight on, Claude!!!!
