Gary Patterson would probably be my top choice. The guy absolutely dominated when tcu was in a non bcs conf. Then he literally takes a few years to dominate the big 12. And now he is dominant compared to the rest of the nation. Plus he can coach offense and defense. Best combo coach out there. Give him sc's players and look out. I like Dantonio, but he is getting a little old. But I do really like him. Same for briles. Chip Kelly could average 60 a game at sc. I like Malzahn, whittingham and a few other guys as well. I love drevno's resume, but he a little risky as a head coach. If drevno took over a smaller program and won 11 games, I would probably take him too.
I like sark in some ways, but he did not try to go down field and win at the end of the Stanford game. He played simply to make the score closer and or not any worse. And then he went for a long field goal against uw. He did not try to win. He does not have a good feel for the game in critical situations(like going away from the run in the uw game). His teams never close out. His teams never play great of both sides of the ball. And wilcox started to play better d in the last two games, but they could not stop uw at the end of the game. You have to make that play. So neither the offense or defense responded when needed. But sark does not instill confidence in his team. Sark is probably a good offensive coordinator, but he needs to coach under a better leader to be effective.
