Surprise, surprise, there were no real changes to this week's depth chart.

Talanoa Hufanga is now listed ahead of C.J. Pollard at strong safety, though still as a co-starter. It's a move that actually went into effect last week. While I don't foresee significant lineup changes being made in practice this week, I think there are at least a couple that should be considered and possibly experimented with.

USC has a snapping issue. It also hasn't gotten consistent play at multiple spots on the O-line. Thus, I would look into moving Toa Lobendahn off center and perhaps have him play left tackle again, or even left guard, where he shined as a freshman. This move alone could upgrade two spots.

The other thing I'd give a hard look at is the secondary. My plan would be to incorporate Olaijah Griffin and Jonathan Lockett -- one at nickel and the other outside, and I'm open to either arrangement. USC's play in the defensive backfield nearly cost them a game last week. There needs to be open competition there.

I think we also need to see more Jay Tufele.
