After we got hit with sanctions, most of us thought recruiting would be hell for years. Even with other coaches using it as a tool against us, we managed to have very high quality classes year-after-year (which I am sure none of us predicted).
So let us take a breath and not worry too much about losing recruits since this is standard practice. I would much rather wait as long as it takes to hire the proper Coach, even it means losing a few good recruits.
Ultimately, I look at the situation as a "positive" tool for recruiting especially since everyone (yes everyone)knows that we are not going to settle for anything less than a First Tier Coach.
