Day 2 after the hire and I'm still livid. Believe me when I say that most fans who say they hope we lose to Stanford by 40 are just venting. It'll take time.

But those who got over the hire after 5 minutes...

Have you considered that by not protesting or voicing your displeasure, you are enabling HH to continue to do this in the future?

I look at this situation similar to policics and voting. If the Governor you elected doesn't follow through with promises, you don't just say "oh well, what can you do. Can't be changed now. I'm going to support my local government anyhow." You take a stand.

Similar fallacious thinking by those that don't vote because it "ultimately doesn't matter anyway."

We as fans have the power to vote against poor coaching hires by not supporting merchandise, ticket sales, etc. This is the most effective way to get a message across to Haden and Nikias. The Tessalone interview made it clear they have a disdain for general fan opinions but we can make them respect us when the fundraising comes up short. It's the only option.

I'm a proud USC alum and will hope for the success of the football program but that doesn't mean I should blindly support the administration.
