Without doubt the most disappointing aspect of Saturday's loss was the uncanny resemblance to last year. It looked and felt exactly the same. This is NOT on the players. The players are clearly good enough just as they were last year. This is about a complete inability to provide in game coaching. This looked and felt exactly like BC, ASU, and Utah last year.
Sark says it takes time. I seem to remember it taking one season for our last good coach. One season, and he had players playing the way he wanted them to play. One season and the right adjustments were made in game. I am hopeful it starts this weekend, but I am not very optimistic.

Admittedly the inability to get off the field on 3rd and more than a few was a HUGE issue, but every bit as important was the complete abandonment of the running game and any ability to control the football in the 2nd half.
