I'll warn you right now, the Biggie Marshall/Isaiah Langley grades aren't going to match the eye test.
I think PFF does a good job in a lot of areas tracking advanced metrics and evaluating a player's impact on the game, but I think cornerback is just one of the spots they struggle to truly capture. I inquired for an explanation about this and included the response in the story. I was also told part of their formula involves math from coverage snaps played, which could mean some plays that stand out as key breakdowns gets diluted over the course of the game.
Anyways, I also found Clancy Pendergast's comments on the secondary pretty interesting, so we start there.
