There are more than a few interesting games this weekend. Here are the one's I see which could tell a lot about how the season may develop.
Thursday - Ohio vs. Idaho - sneak preview at USC's next opponent
Colorado @ Hawaii -get to see how Max Whittek does starting at QB
Michigan @ Utah - their success or lack thereof against Utah could be a early indicator of the character of Harbaugh's Michigan team. Utah could be pretty good this year.
Friday - Washington @ Boise State - see how Petersen does against his former team
Saturday - ASU @ TAMU (sort of) - ASU players seem to be feeling pretty good about this one. It would be good to see an early PAC-12 victory against a solid SEC team
Texas @ ND - interested to see what kind of team Strong has built and how strong ND is early in the season
Stanford @ Northwestern - Northwestern is a better team than either of USC's first 2 opponents
Virginia @ UCLA - I don't think UCLA will have a problem, but it will be interesting to see Rosen's first college game. I expect lots of running plays.
Eastern Washington @ Oregon - I don't know if he's eligible to play in this game, but the projected QB starter for Oregon could be going against his former team - sounds unfair on so many levels.
BYU @ Nebraska - Interested to see how Mike Riley does with Nebraska. He's a class coach.
Alabama vs Wisconsin - neutral site. What will Alabama look like with Kiffin in year 2?
