Tee Martin did a lot for USC. I'm assuming most here are happy for him that he landed at his alma mater in the wake of being dismissed as USC's offensive coordinator.

According to RockyTopInsider.com, Martin left L.A. doing just fine. Here's an excerpt from their report Tuesday on his Tennessee contract:

"It’s also worth noting that Martin will be receiving buyout money from USC over the next two years, which is the length of his contract with Tennessee. USC owed him the remainder of his salary on his deal with them, and they will have to pay him over the next two seasons."

That means Lynn Swann extended Martin for three more years after the 2017 season. (Let the record show he lasted just eight more games as USC's play-caller.) If you watched the Trojans' offense in 2017 -- with Sam Darnold -- against not only Ohio State and Notre Dame but also Washington State, Cal and Oregon State, such an extension is indefensible. And yet probably not surprising.

And, like most every wrong move in this regime, it's gonna cost.
