that he should get the full time job. I really admire his ability to keep this team together and hungry and we have had some positives since sark was canned. most notably yesterday which was phenomenal. My issue with hiring Helton is that he doesn't have the experience or the connections to hire great assistants. He would need to get an OC so he can be a head coach plus he really needs to remove Wilcox. who would he hire? I just don't think he is ready to take over at SC. Also, is he gonna be able to recruit nationally if he is the head coach? I don't think some of the OOS talent we have been used to having will come across the country to play for Helton. Maybe I'm wrong but these are my biggest concerns. I would much rather wait a few weeks and get a coach with experience, success, great assistants, etc. Recruiting will be there with the right hire even if he only has one month to do it
Helton has done a good job but I'm not convinced...
