Great article on ESPN regarding Harbaugh's approach.
2 things stood out after reading the article.
1. Teams are allowed 4 hours a day for football by the NCAA. Typically, that time is spent between meetings, the film room and the practice field. Harbaugh early on...spent the entire 4 hours on the football field - 4 hour practices. That's where he decided they needed to improve. Not in meetings, not in the film room, but on the field. That's where they learned to finish vs. previous years of failure at the end of the half and the end of the game. After 4 hour practices...the games are clearly less demanding.
2. Video captures every rep of every player...Each one of the players...from 1 to 105 is ranked by the coaches every week. Every player knows exactly where they stand among their peers.
Not implying that every coach has to copy the Harbaugh method...but his approach is in perfect sync with his team's identity.
What is the identity of this year's Trojans? I can remember when we actually had an identity on the field.
