Jeff Fisher gets the nod at #1 bc of his defensive background, and he coached in a super bowl. Tons of experience, there is nothing he hasn't seen after his long grind in NFL.
Gary Patterson is a home run hire, but I don't know how good he is at keeping his dogs on a leash (arrest record at TCU). Also, what his interest in living on west coast.
CK is the splash hire, although I don't know how our D will be and he had the "show cause." Makes excellent adjustment, at least when he was in CFB.
Sumlin is a long shot and his O may be too pass heavy for SC (historically). It would depend if Chavis came on board.
Helton - if he wins out and hires a BIG NAME D-coord. he may have just enough leverage to take over the job. He can recruit and he knows the school.
