Joe Barry is my pipedream hire. I've long thought he was a brilliant football mind and heard rumors that he is the brains behind the 2011 win at Oregon. He and Monte had philosophical differences so he bounced but he's on a rocket like ascent. I think he will be a head coach for USC someday. Just have this feeling.
Would he leave an NFL DC gig to come back home to USC? Probably not but if the gossip about wanting to make someone the highest paid defensive coordinator is to be believed - it shouldn't - he would be ideal, in my view.
