I realize there are a lot of Niners haters from SoCal here, but I’m sure everyone (if grudgingly) acknowledges the greatness of JM. I grew up in SF so I’m a huge JM ( and Ronnie Lott) fan. That said, if you haven’t seen it yet, there is an amazing write up on ESPN from writer, Wright Thompson ( who authored a similar piece on Michael Jordan) chronicling things never heard before in what wound up being an epic ode to JM’s legacy. Warning: it’s LONG and you may need to break up reading it all but it is well worth the read. A very unexpected emotional, but beautiful journey revealed for one of the GOATs.
