Spent 30 minutes with Josh just shooting the breeze and got his take on life in L.A.versus Ga.
First......hes a solid 223# and still runs a 4.6 / 40.
The first thing that impressed me about him was his hands.....i still do the old conventional handshake, not fist to fist. His hand dwarfed mine, and a firm grip.
His entire family now resides in L.A. and Love it.
Make no mistake the primary reason their here is to get an S.C.diploma .
He relayed to me he recruited for S.C.in Ga.up until his departure for Troy and almost got his best friend Julian Rochester a Ga. committ
D-T.to take an O.V.with the hope he would decommit to S.C.( ironically he tells me Julian was arrested yesterday at Ga.for carrying a concealed weapon on campus.....a B.B.gun:p!)
He also relayed to me that his parents were going to petistion the NZAA for immediate eligibility for Daniel last season ( since the whole family relocated Ca.its an allowed exception) but decided against it because they didnt want both boys in the same classes.
His goal this season is plain and simple, to be playbook prepared for every situation given to shine.
He feels his blocking is on the same par as JuJu .....phyisical / punishing.
His comment on Bama......i think all the Trojan Family will be proud of how we represent our University in Arlington.
He also said iho. our 3 running backs are equal in performance throughout Spring and that hes impressed with Aca Cedric who works his tall off daily to get better.
Very impressive young man,hes been raised well........and it shows!
Fight On✌Roll the Tide....Daniel & Josh!
