A source with direct knowledge of Michael Pittman's injury timetable told me the junior wide receiver says he "will be back next week" for the UCLA game. Pittman suffered a bone bruise to his shoulder early in USC's win against Oregon State this past Saturday and did not return. He is out for Saturday's game against Cal.
Pittman leads USC with 550 receiving yards and six touchdowns. He was the team's hottest player in October, catching 15 passes for 341 yards and five touchdowns in three games.
Clay Helton said Tuesday that Amon-Ra St. Brown will start in Pittman's place outside, with Devon Williams and Josh Imatorbhebhe rotating in behind ASB and Tyler Vaughns.
