I see this question asked over and over: "If what Bryce did was so bad, why is the LAPD not involved?"
Valid question. Equally valid answer: Both Bryce's lawyer and USC say in their court documents that the young lady exercised her option not to give her name to the LAPD, or cooperate with law enforcement.
She apparently preferred that it remain a student conduct issue. There could be several reasons for this, some calling into question the strength of her case, some having nothing to do with the strength of her case. None of us knows her reason for exercising that option.
