2014...lost 3rd game of the year to an unstoppable (yet predictable and pedestrian) offense.
2013...lost first 2 conference games, historically bad vs WSU and ASU
2012...lost 3rd game of the year, opening conference play vs Stanford
2011...lost first conference game
2010...lost 2nd and 3rd conference games
So what happens in 2015? Same crap again... we steamroll through weak, non-conference opponents looking creative, explosive, and playing so many players. When we open conference play we are overmatched against a pedestrian opponent:
- We the opposing QB look amazing
- Our D gets obliterated by basic often predictable play-calling...giving up 322 first half yards
- Stanford completes 75% of 3rd conversions
- Near 2:1 TOP disadvantage
- Stupid, costly penalties
- OL and DL totally outmatched, outmuscled, and outsmarted
So what is it? Are we just not preparing properly in Fall camp and the cupcake portion of the schedule? Coaching unable to make adjustments?
Teams like ucla, Notre Dame, ASU, and Oregon will be formidable after what I saw last night.
