I was told by someone I trust that Kelly is favoring the UCLA job because he wants to be in the Los Angeles market. I asked this same person if Kelly wanted the USC job a couple years back. I was told he would have been very interested if USC wanted him.
As we all know, then AD Pat Haden said at the time that he had not contacted Kelly during his coaching search. He did insist USC looked into other potential hires outside of Helton.
I just wanted to pass this along because I think it's absolutely fascinating.
