SU defensive line coachEd Orgeron has spoken to USC about an assistant coaching position,FootballScoop.com is reporting.
Orgeron, a Louisiana native, spoke to new USC coach Clay Helton, according to a source, and the two have a deep respect for one another. Orgeron was previously an assistant coach and interim head coach at USC.
LSU hired Orgeron in January. Helton is said to be making several staff changes after being hired to replace Steve Sarkasian.
