California voted in Prop 65 - it is a god awful bureaucratic nightmare for small businesses. I am working with a company that wants to sell product on QVC. QVC is super cautious and wants to make sure this product is Prop 65 compliant and wants the officers of this small business to sign off on it.

This company's product are professional salon hair tools (curlers, straighteners, hair dryers, etc) They are not meant to be eaten or chewed. This is a small business trying to expand in the North America market and some of our out of state customers (distributors, Sephora, Nordstrom, Ulta, etc. who also do business in CA) want to cover their a$$ due to Prop 65 rules in the Marxist state of California.

I am not an attorney (more of a financial consultant). Anybody else come across this nightmare as a small business trying to expand/grow? Is there any real risk having the officers sign off as compliant (nobody is going to ingest these products - more worried about left wing ambulance chasing lawyers). This is not an FDA product or child chew toys. And yes, this product is made in China. It is also successfully sold in Europe and UK (even they don't have the Marxist rules of California).

Curious if anyone else that runs a small business has dealt with this.
