This story about the frat in Oklahoma is disturbing. That young people would be caught singing an old dixie racist song diminishes hope that racism is something that dies out over time. It's also disturbing because these same frat members probably go to football games on Saturdays and cheer for the OU football team which is 80% black. The level of cognitive dissonance that requires is frightening, College athletes beware: some fans of the university you play for may cheer for you on the field but don't see you as human and would not welcome you into their spaces. You're just there to make that money for the university.
