I know that this movie is making tons of money, but I didn't really like it. I thought that the casting was bad and that the writing is lazy. They didn't do enough of a make-over (for my taste) and simply went for the nostalgia with the older actors. They also spoon-feed you the same candy that you enjoyed in the past; unfortunately, I'm older now and have outgrown the sugar rush.
I really got a much bigger kick out of the first revamped Star Trek movie; that one pleased me greatly.
