Has anyone ever heard of this guy (or other guys like him) who provide consulting on the college application process? He wants to charge $5K per kid (to be paid UPFRONT) to help you strategize your application process and to get you the highest possible tuition assistance. What are your thoughts?
My son is a junior this year, and both my wife and I work full time (well, full time x 2 for me), so there is little time to dedicate to the process. The wife is pressuring me to sign up, and I have all kinds of doubts.
