One thing I always chuckled at when the USC-UCLA rivalry came up and people would take shots at the other side was someone constantly saying "make sure and tip your pizza delivery boy good, he has to pay for that UCLA education."
The other day I ran into a guy I used to coach in baseball a long time ago, and he asked if I had free time and invited me to lunch. So I met him at this diner and we were talking and he told me he had gone to UCLA got his degree and became a high school teacher. I told him that was a great job and his tried to be nice and said his Bruin education probably helped him land his job.
He says, "Yeah, but not right away, I had a couple of jobs and DELIVERED PIZZA for a couple of years to tide me over until I got the gig."
Honestly not making fun of him, he's a good guy with a great family because I appreciate hard work and dedication but when he told me that all the bRuin pizza delivery jokes came flashing back to me.
