If we didn't have ND on our non conference schedule and played a cupcake, we would have one loss and would be in the final four. For example, last year Washington had one loss and went. This year Washington played three non conference teams where NONE of them won a conference game last year. There is absolutely every incentive to make sure one's non conference schedule is weak. And a weaker schedule limits travel and allows injured players to heal. The system is designed that way, so we should proceed like Washington and the SEC. is it right that a one loss Alabama team may go and has only beat ONE team in the top 25?
