News updates from today's practice ...

The team was in full shoulder pads and shorts today.

JuJu Smith-Schuster, who noted after Saturday's game he was dealing with a quad, was slightly limited in practice. He took part in all drills and team periods but was slow to get up more than once. He also received some attention from the training staff. Clay Helton said they've had to back off on how many practice reps he gets because he plays with so much effort every day.

"We make sure we script plays that he needs to see and then get a backup in to take his rep count down," Helton said. "When he's in, he only knows one speed. God bless him.

Tre Madden (knee) lightly participated in 11-on-11 for the first time in a couple weeks.

Darreus Rogers (hamstring) was a full participant.

Chad Wheeler (concussion) has presumably been cleared to play after being full-go for the second day in a row.

Steven Mitchell Jr. (ankle) again did only individuals and was tended to by trainers during parts of practice.

Taylor McNamara (shoulder) practiced in a non-contact jersey and was limited.

Tyler Petite (foot) remained out.

Rasheem Green (knee) increased his workload but was limited.

Adoree' Jackson again practiced exclusively on defense.

Helton said that Ronald Jones II's role will increase as the season progresses.

Keyshawn Johnson attended practice.
