News updates from practice ...

Kevon Seymour participated in 1-on-1s but was very limited beyond that. Steve Sarkisian expressed doubt about him playing Saturday. Seymour, who did not play vs. Stanford, hyperextended his knee in the first half of the Idaho game but continued to play that night.

"He definitely does not look 100 percent to me," Sarkisian said. "We'll see how he responds from today. We still got quite a bit of time before the ballgame. He's really going to have to move around for us tomorrow to show us that he's ready to go."

Antwaun Woods remained out. Delvon Simmons has primarily been playing nose tackle in his place.

Tre Madden again practiced against the scout team but did not participate in the other 11-on-11 periods.

Scott Felix returned to practice and worked with the first team at rush end.

Sarkisian, who's always with the offense for scout periods, was with the defense on the Brian Kennedy Field for the final scout period.

Adoree' Jackson practiced on both sides of the ball, as he usually does on Wednesdays.

Cam Smith continued to take the bulk of the first-team reps at middle linebacker.

Jake Olson had his first live snap during a field goal period. Sark said he would at some point look to make an agreement with one of USC's opponents about using Olson in a game.
