News updates from Wednesday's practice...
Today's practice was in full pads and markedly more intense.
Chad Wheeler said his knee has been cleared for full contact. He returned to practice and was with the first team most of the day. Wheeler was also returning from a concussion suffered after getting beaned by a medicine ball.
Toa Lobendahn worked with the first team at right tackle, right guard and left tackle today. He has now played everywhere but left guard this fall.
Zach Banner got the majority of the first-team reps during a run period but was primarily with the second team during scout periods.
Ronald Jones II was briefly on the trainer's table and wasn't involved in practice. He left early. Steve Sarkisian said he isn't feel well but wouldn't go into further detail.
Rasheem Green increased his workload but still looks very limited, mobility-wise.
Justin Davis (rib), Jordan Simmons (knee), Lamar Dawson (rib) and Claude Pelon (knee) remained out.
We learned Antwaun Woods has a shoulder injury and has been limited to individual work. He is not expected to be out for much longer.
Taylor McNamara did not finish practice because of an apparent ankle injury.
Ykili Ross (shoulder) remained in a sling.
Sarkisian said he has finally spoken with President Max Nikias. He would not elaborate on that, saying only that the conversation "went great." It does not appear that he will be suspended.
USC is holding closed practices the next three days. Sark will meet with the media on Thursday and Saturday. Select players will also be made available following Saturday's practice, which will be held at the Coliseum.
