News updates from Wednesday's practice ...
Steve Sarkisian said Lamar Dawson still hasn't been cleared for contact but believes he's close. He intimated Dawson will miss Saturday's game but is hopeful he'll be available for Stanford.
Neither Antwaun Woods and Jacob Daniel finished practice because they were sick. It appeared lik a few players were dealing with dehydration. (It was HOT!)
John Plattenburg also sat out briefly -- it was presumably for the same reason -- but was able to return.
Damien Mama exited early with a sprained knee. Viane Talamaivao replaced him at left guard. As I mentioned yesterday, the pan is for Toa Lobendahn to only play right guard this week.
Aca'Cedric Ware suffered a bruised knee.
Adoree' Jackson was a full participant and practiced on both offense and defense.
Steven Mitchell is about all the way back from a sprained wrist. Sark said he looked 100 percent.
Sark said Osa Masina is practicing with more confidence. He split first-team reps with Anthony Sarao.
Sark also felt like the backup offensive line performed well today, singling out Jordan Austin. (That group was Falah, Brown, Rodgers, Austin, Edoga.)
