Forget about Kelly and Fisher. Those guys are dreams at this point, and frankly, I'm not even sure they are the best options. I can think of 3 guys who would be great hires, and all seem very possible.
1. Pat Narduzzi. Great defensive coach. Took over at Pitt and has them playing great ball right now. Pitt can't compete with SC in terms of prestige or salary. The only drawback is Narduzzi is in his first year. We would have to get him to pull a Kiffin and bolt.
2. Tom Herman. Basically the same thing as Narduzzi, except he's an offensive guy. Great pedigree. Winning as a head coach. Houston can't compete with SC in terms of money and prestige. Only issue is the 1 and done problem.
3. Kyle Wittingham. This guy just wins every year despite high turnover in his coaching staff and not the best recruits. His teams are always tough and well coached. Utah can dish out some money to him, and Wittingham is a Utah guy. I'm not sure he wants any part of LA. What leads me to really believe Wittingham is a possibility is that he evaded the question when asked about coaching at SC.
