Sark's demise has exposed some silver linings. Helton has been calling a better offensive game and our adjustments are much better, if you could even say with a straight face that we made adjustments under Sark.
Amazingly everybody's favorite whipping boy, Wilcox, seems to have benefitted being unyoked from Sark. The defensive line play has improved, we've become more aggressive and our tackling is better. Is this the real Wilcox or more to do with the influence of Helton versus Sark? It will be interesting to see if these improvements can be maintained and developed moving forward or will injuries and inexperience undermine the outcome.
In any event neither one of these coaches are in Sark's shadow any longer, they share the spotlight and for that they should be grateful because they now have half a season to audition for every program in America. That sure beats being fired! Ask Sark!
