Kedon Slovis became the fifth true freshman QB to start a game in USC history, and none from that group fared better in their first start.

2019: Kedon Slovis, 28-33 for 377 yards, 3 TDs, 0 INT
2018: JT Daniels, 21-35 for 282 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT
2009: Matt Barkley, 15-19 for 233 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT
1998: Carson Palmer, 18-31 for 279 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT
1991: Rob Johnson, 10-10 for 114 yards, 1 TD, 2 INT

Slovis' 377 passing yards were the most by any USC QB since Sam Darnold threw for 397 vs. Texas on Sept. 16, 2017, and the second-most ever by a USC true freshman behind Matt Barkley's 380 at Notre Dame in 2009.
