For me, this is the one thing that SC desperately needs and doesn't clearly have. Felix really didn't show much last year in terms of rushing the passer. For me, this is going to come from one of the freshmen (Gustin) or Ruffin. Gustin seemingly has the pedigree and the stature, but he's a freshman, so you can't gauge contributions. Ruffin was more of an MLB when he got here, but was moved to the rush backer spot and apparently showed flashes. Question is, can anyone really develop into that position?
This D-line should be fine up the middle, and the linebackers and secondary are pretty good. But we need to be able to rush the passer without always selling out on the blitz. We need to find that guy. Is he on the roster? That's what we really need.
