Let's make no mistake about it, SC is more talented than any team it will face this year, period. This team is riddled with NFL talent, and many of the other guys are just tremendous college players. This coaching staff has lost two games this year purely based on being outcoached.

Basically, at the end of the UW game, we were doing to UW what Stanford did to us. The difference was, our coach wasn't disciplined enough to stick with the run. And Peterson knew Sark couldn't help himself. His game plan was to drop 8 in coverage almost every down, except when blitzing. And SC ran, and ran well over and over again. But Peterson was right. Sark could not suppress the urge to pass the ball. On 3rd and 6 in 4 down territory, Sark passes after getting 6-7 yards a run, and with just 6 in the box. That's insane.

I could care less about recruiting take a dip for a year if we change coaches. Frankly, that argument is always made and never comes true. Kids will come to SC, even at the last minute, if they feel the head coach is right.

Regardless, let's take the supposition that our recruiting takes a dip. Who cares? If we get the right guy now, this team is a big time winner next year and for years to come. The talent is already there.
