Riley isn’t the answer. Odds are PSU puts an official nail in the season next week. It’s just not a very good football team - which was made extra clear by Michigan getting thumped by crappy Washington today.

So it’s another lost season. Again. There is no star power on the team. No quality on the lines. No exciting young depth. And there will be no fans in the stands. It’s too many bad years in a row - almost all of which have been disappointment to expectations. This is year 3 for Lincoln, the year we should be absolutely rolling with a star coach. But instead, losing to Minnesota. Sigh.

So what do you do? There’s no reason to have any optimism for next year. Ride out Riley for one more subpar year and then fire him? Fire him this year? Who do you even bring in? Outside of Nick Saban, I’m not sure who could even turn it around. It’s a bleak outlook if the expectation is higher than a middle tier bowl game. What a mess.
