I recall Chase's last post here and a parting challenge to "demand more from your university."

I think there are far less "doomers" and "pumpers" than the silent majority here. But insofar as it helps the war that rages on between the two rival clans, it's helpful to remember the above sentiments expressed by Flannerty and Chase are where the so called "doomers" are coming from.

Certainly USC isn't under .500 like the Padres, but 8-5 is loosing here. 0-2 and 5-4 is also considered losing.

I sense a slight suspension of "doom" with the past signing class with a possible upcoming downturn in the AD search and sign. But if we understand where folks are coming from, perhaps it will make for less contentious dialogue.

Of course if USC hires lopes all bets are off for a few weeks.
