If we beat Ucla, Helton would be named permanent head coach. I feel like someone just punched me in the stomach. I hate Pat Haden. Hate him. Worst thing to happen to USC football ever.
But, I'm seldom wrong on these things. You could see Pat wanted to maintain control. You could see he like Helton. And if you pay attention to him he has shown that he doesn't give a crap about anyone or anything that isn't about him. He's a megalomaniac. And he's patently stupid.
I also think the athletic department is broke. I think they blew a ton of money on buyouts for Sark's drinking posse and sports have done horrible the last 3 years. Look at the Coli rebuild being done on the cheap. Hell Cal is spending more to redo theirs. I think Haden has crashed the dept and they had to hire cheap.
And so we went for the worst. And got it.
