Though a lot of the talk recently has been about Tate Martell it would be foolish to forget about Tua Tagovailoa, the four-star 2017 quarterback from Hawaii that also has an offer from USC. We reported on his visit to 'SC earlier this year and I just spoke with him today. He told me that he's called Sarkisian since that last visit and the Trojans' head coach reiterated that they want him badly.
That trip left a big impact on Tagovailoa. Earlier in the process, late last year, he had named Oregon his favorite. But now that he's got more than a dozen offers - 13 to be exact - and maybe due in part to that trip to 'SC, he's striking more of an open tone when he talks recruiting. He also told me that he 'definitely' wants to visit USC again though he doesn't have any set summer plans yet.
