Takeaways:

-I'd take note of the first two questions (as I stumbled to say Ralen Goforth) and the later questions about Sivi Nomura and Raesjon Davis.
-No real update on Eric Gentry or Jordan Addison -- Riley put them in the "day to day" category.
-Riley shared a great anecdote about Nomura breaking his finger in the Fresno State game (he thinks it was that one) and having the bone sticking out yet finishing the series before coming off an telling anyone. Yeesh.
-The defensive players said it was a physical week of practice last week. They didn't tackle more than normal (as Max Williams said, they always tackle a lot in practice), but they said it was more of an emphasis nonetheless.
-Riley said he wants to see more production from the rush end spot. It's usually been a very productive spot in this defense, he said, and they clearly haven't been satisfied with the production. So it sounds like Nick Figueroa, Solomon Byrd and Korey Foreman will be competing each week for snaps. The distribution last game was Figueroa 65 snaps, Byrd 15 and Foreman 5.
-Jeff has a Brett Neilon video still uploading.

Note: I have a flight to catch in a few hours to Oakland/San Francisco as I'll be attending Pac-12 basketball media day tomorrow (with Jeff covering football practice), so I probably won't get a full story up on practice until I land in Oakland. But all the relevant notes are here and I'll get the transcript up before I leave.

I'm then flying from Oakland to Phoenix to be there Thursday for Duce Robinson/Elijah Paige vs. Caleb Lomu that night. Jeff and I will both be there videoing for iso packages.
