I just read an OC register article which says UCLA Quarterback Jerry Neuheisel is a 23 year old Red-shirt Junior. Researching his date of birth (April 24, 1992 ), meant he was 20 years old in June 2012 ( when he graduated from Loyola HS). My understanding is that CIF rules state you can't be older than 19 years old before you graduate to play high school sports. Any insights? Talk about giving your kid a 1-3 year age advantage over your peers in the same grade. Sounds like Slick Rick pulled a fast one.
