I just talked to Fabian Ross' father over the phone. He says everything remains on track with his son's commitment and they're heading to Los Angeles this weekend for an official visit.
"We've been down there so much over the last months, so much has changed, but we're definitely scheduled for our official this week so we'll be down there with everyone else," he said.
Lincoln Riley and Alex Grinch didn't do an in-home visit with Ross last week but met with him at Bishop Gorman HS.
"He talked to them at the school. I don't even think I was in town. I have a son who plays junior college basketball in California," the father said. "He talked to them Monday, Coach Grinch and everybody sat down with him and watched film."
He added that Ross had some communication with Grinch when he was at Oklahoma but not a lot of dialogue. The meeting Monday went well, though, and the intention and focus for now is still to be a part of helping USC get back on top.
