It was reported by ESPN earlier this week at the Under Armour All-American game that four-star WR and Clemson commit Amari Rodgers was considering an official visit to USC.
Rodgers is a former USC commit who's father is Tee Martin, the offensive coordinator for the Trojans. He made a verbal pledge to USC in the summer shortly after camping for the coaches. But months later, the 5-foot-9 product of Catholic HS in Knoxville, Tenn. flipped his commitment to Clemson. He has seemed solid to the Tigers ever since.
Apparently, despite what Rodgers told ESPN, the Rivals250 prospect is still very solid for Clemson. At least that's what he told Rivals.com yesterday. One of our analysts, Woody Wommack, caught up with Rodgers about his potential visit to USC. Rodgers says it isn't happening.
"I'm not visiting there," Rodgers said of a potential January visit to USC.
