Defensive graduate assistant Austin Clark is leaving USC to be the defensive line coach at Illinois.
The promotion is the result of strong referrals, relationships and results. USC’s defensive line play has shown steady improvement over the past two seasons under Kenechi Udeze.
Clark will now work under DC Hardy Nickerson, who, like Udeze, is an alum of Verbum Dei High School. Also, Clark played for Clancy Pendergast at Cal alongside Nickerson’s son.
