The national champions of women's sand volleyball are the Women of Troy. Yesterday the USC women beat a spirited Long Beach State team to take home the championship trophy. Although this is a fairly new sport at SC the women won convincingly and ended the team's season 28 to 0!
In 2016 the sport will be an official NCAA D-1 category women's sport. The future looks bright for the Women of Troy as they have strength in the sophomore and junior classes.
On Sunday the Women of Troy will play for the pairs championship.
