IT'S TIME TO GIVE THANKS!
This Thanksgiving, I am thankful for many things. One of those things for which I most thankful (and which I hold nearest to my heart) is USC football. Here is a simple list of reasons:
· I can’t think of a better way to waste (I mean “pass”) my time!
· I am thankful for the build-up to the season, and I am thankful for the weekly build up to each game.
· I am thankful for the struggle (and not just the result).
· I am thankful for young men who put their bodies on the line for my entertainment (and for their own personal fulfillment). Like most fans, I can be tyrannical in my insistence on results, but ultimately I am thankful for the players.
· I am thankful for the inspiration provided by a team that fights on in the face of adversity.
· I am thankful for a coaching staff and an AD that shows these young men how to fight on and that someone cares.
· I am thankful to the parents who bring their passion and insight to the table.
· I am thankful to our opponents for the fight and for likewise risking their well-being to allow us to celebrate competition.
· I am thankful for the fellow members on this board with whom I get to share this tremendous experience of college football. Thanks for the engaging in meaningful conversation. Thanks for sharing the laughs.
· Lastly, I am thankful for the TrojanSports staff for supplying my cocaine. (I don’t think I’ll be turning to rehab anytime soon.)
Happy Thanksgiving, everybody!
