On Shurod Thompson.
I talked to a trusted source tonight who said that a lot of people are in the ear of Thompson and that he's really confused on what he wants to do moving forward.
From what I can gather, he is talking highly of USC and has for some time. Remember, he said USC was his favorite for a while.
But I can also tell you he still wants to play with UCLA commit Jordan Parker and now Thompson has changed his Twitter background to the Rose Bowl, if that means anything at all.
Throughout his recruitment, Thompson changed his mind a lot (different favorites, different lists, etc.) so I was always surprised he committed to Cal so early. I was further surprised when Parker committed to UCLA because all they ever talked about was playing together.
Lots of guys do that but they made it clear they didn't want to be apart. From what I can tell, Thompson is very confused on next steps. I think he'll slow it down but he's listening to a lot of people which could further muddy the situation.
My guess is he plays this out for some time before jumping back on the commitment wagon to any school.
